Seven evidence classes, seven different jobs

Evidence has a lifecycle
- Identified: a potential source exists, but has not been approved for use
- Verified: identity, owner, date/version, scope and provenance were checked
- Shareable: disclosure and redaction are approved for the named audience
- Applicable: a reviewer linked the evidence to the exact claim or drawing risk
- Current: expiry/review date and replacement status were checked at use time
- Superseded or historical: retained with printed dates and never described as current
Every important claim needs an evidence row

| Affected pages/locales | Allows a changed fact to reopen every dependent output |
Request an evidence package with the RFQ
- Product/drawing revision and the decision the evidence must support
- Required method, standard, report, certificate, raw data, photo, or traceability fields
- Audience, NDA, redaction and permitted distribution
- Language, format, delivery timing, retention and renewal expectations
- Whether supplier, partner, customer or third-party evidence is acceptable
